Carey Van Dyke's success as an actor began when he was a mere 17 years old. Dyke began his acting career playing characters on a variety of series including "Diagnosis Murder" (CBS, 1993-2001) and "ER" (NBC, 1994-2009). He also appeared in the TV special "Dick Van Dyke: Put on a Happy Face" (1999-2000). He also starred in the TV movies "Diagnosis Murder: Town Without Pity" (CBS, 2001-02) and "Murder 101: Locked Room Mystery" (Hallmark Channel, 2007-08). He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "Clueless" (UPN, 1996-99). Most recently, Dyke wrote "Chernobyl Diaries" (2012) with Ingrid Bolsø Berdal.
