Catt Sadler was an American entertainment news journalist and actress who was best known for hosting various programs on the E! network, including "E! News" (E!, 1991- ) and "The Daily 10" (E!, 2006-10). Born and raised in Martinsville, Indiana, Sadler grew up having big dreams of being on TV. Initially, she wanted to become an actress, and acted in a number of school plays in Indiana. She had a little taste of the big time in 1986 when, at the age of 11, she scored an uncredited role in the classic sports drama "Hoosiers." By the time she entered Indiana University in the 90s, Sadler switched her focus from acting to television news. She studied journalism at Indiana University and in her senior year landed a role on the Indianapolis Fox affiliate WXIN as a reporter covering local youth topics. Sadler stayed in the position for a year, before moving to California after graduation. Upon arriving in California Sadler took a position as an entertainment reporter at a San Francisco TV station. She hosted a program for the station called "The Bay Beat," which allowed her to travel to places like New York and Los Angeles, where she interviewed A-list celebrities. Sadler hosted "The Bay Beat" for a few years before returning to WXIN in Indianapolis in 2001 to co-anchor the local morning newscast. During her tenure as the co-anchor of WXIN, Sadler also hosted the long-running Indiana lottery program "Hoosier Lottery." By the mid-2000s Sadler was itching to return to entertainment reporting, and in 2006 she accepted a position with E! news as one of the co-hosts of "The Daily 10." Sadler, along with her two co-hosts, reported on entertainment topics nightly for four years, from 2006 to 2010. The show was cancelled in 2010. Undeterred, Sadler stayed with the network and joined the nightly broadcast of "E! News" in 2010. It was also during this time that she began hosting E!'s "Live from the Red Carpet," which allowed her to interview various A-list celebrities during entertainment awards shows. With her career already on the rise, Sadler became a co-host of E!'s morning news "Daily Pop" (E!, 2017- ) in May of 2017, which she would later call her "dream job." She stayed on the program for seven months before leaving in December 2017 after finding out that her co-host, Jason Kennedy, was earning double her salary. Sadler had been with the E! network for 11 years at the time of her exit.
