Cheik Doukoure

Cheik Doukoure was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Doukoure began his acting career with roles in such films as "Bako, l'autre rive" (1978), the Jean-Claude Brialy comedy "Le Maitre-Nageur" (1979) and the Beverly Ross drama "Broken English" (1981). He also appeared in "Les Ripoux" (1985) with Philippe Noiret and "Black mic mac" (1986) with Jacques Villeret. His film career continued throughout the eighties and the nineties in productions like the comedy "Les Freres Petard" (1986) with Gerard Lanvin, the drama "Cheb" (1991) with Mourad Bounaas and the dramatic period piece "Blanc D'Ebene" (1992) with Bernard-Pierre Donnadieu. More recently, he tackled roles in the Laurent Malet biopic "Arthur Rimbaud" (1996), the comedy "Little Indian, Big City" (1996) with Thierry Lhermitte and the dramatic comedy "Salut Cousin!" (1997) with Gad Elmaleh. He also appeared in "Lumumba" (2001). Most recently, Doukoure acted in the Sylvestre Amoussou foreign "Africa Paradis" (2007).
