Christopher Hibler
Acclaimed television director and producer Christopher Hibler, the grandson of legendary Disney studios writer and producer Winston Hibler, began his own career as the assistant director on the 1968 Disney feature "The Horse in the Gray Flannel Suit." Other assistant director credits at this time included the Disney films "The Love Bug," "The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes," "The Boatniks," "Bedknobs and Broomsticks," and the TV shows "Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color," "The Greatest American Hero," and "Remington Steele," which Hibler also worked on as a co-producer and later a full director. During the mid-/80s, Hibler also directed episodes of the comedy/investigative series "Moonlighting," "Father Dowling Mysteries," "Quantum Leap," and "Matlock." With the latter series, Hibler helmed dozens of episodes of the popular show, starring Andy Griffith, over the course of nearly a decade. In '92, Hibler began directing episodes of Darren Star's "Beverly Hills, 90210" and Joss Whedon's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," while contributing to"Diagnosis Murder" from '94 to 2001. In '02, Hibler directed the full-length "Diagnosis Murder" spin-off TV movie "A Town Without Pity," starring Dick Van Dyke as Dr. Mark Sloan. In '10, Hibler completed direction on his first documentary, "Meet John Wooden," Harry Spalding's tribute to the legendary UCLA basketball coach who died that year just short of his 100th birthday.
