Corey Harrison
Corey "Big Hoss" Harrison shot to reality television stardom as a third-generation pawn dealer on the History Channel's popular series "Pawn Stars" (2009- ). At the age of nine, Corey Harrison began working at the world-renowned Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, a 24-hour family business operated by his grandfather, Richard "The Old Man" Harrison, and his father, Rick "The Spotter" Harrison. In addition, Harrison's childhood friend, Austin "Chumlee" Russell, worked at the store. Located less than two miles from the Las Vegas Strip, the pawnshop attracted a colorful mix of customers who brought in a variety of vintage and antique items to the store to either sell or pawn. While the store's business model was fairly standard, family's distinctive and over-the-top personalities were certainly not the norm. In 2009, the Harrisons allowed cameras into their pawnshop and became overnight sensations, thanks to the hit reality series "Pawn Stars," which featured their interactions with their customers as they haggled over an item's price and discussed its historical background.
