Crystle Roberson
With a determined work ethic and tremendous creative vision, Crystle "Clear" Roberson received acclaim from practically the first moments of her career when she won a grant from Kodak to produce her first short film, "The Song of Time" (2006). Born in Germany but raised in Georgia, Roberson earned a BFA in mass media from Valdosta State University and had begun taking graduate classes at Savannah College of Art & Design when she decided to devote herself to working in film full time. She began working as a production assistant on the sets of films like "Stomp the Yard" (2007) and "Zombieland" (2009) while simultaneously working on her own creative projects with increasing devotion. Her third short film, "Next Door's Next" (2008) won the HBO Filmmaker Award and Women in Film & Television's Woman to Watch Award. After directing a pilot for a potential series called "Wildflowers" (2010), Roberson made her feature film debut with the thriller "Echo at 11 Oak Drive" (2012). At the same time, she continued learning everything she could about bigger budget fare, working as the assistant to the executive producer on the hospital series "Red Band Society" (Fox, 2014-15). Roberson wrote and directed another short film, "Love Handles" (2015) before executive producing the documentary "Uncode" (2016) the following year.
