Daisuke Ryu was an actor who starred in many drama films. Daisuke Ryu's career beginnings included film roles in the Tatsuya Nakadai historical drama "Kagemusha" (1980) and "Bosatsu, Shimoyama Jiken" (1982). He went on to act in "Tono Monogatari" (1982) and "The Ginger Tree" (PBS, 1990-91). More recently, Daisuke Ryu acted in "Gojo reisen ki" (2000) with Tadanobu Asano.
