Canadian actress Dalila Bela was a versatile child performer in both dramatic and comedic roles, including her star-making turn as the phlegmatic Agent Olive on "Odd Squad" (PBS, 2014- ). Born October 5, 2001, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, she began her screen career at the age of five by booking a national television commercial in her native country. Wins in talent competitions spurred her family to relocate to Vancouver in order to let Bela audition for television roles. She made her first appearance on an episodic television series with the paranormal drama "Fringe" (Fox, 2008-2013), which was soon followed by turns on popular series like "Supernatural" (The CW, 2005- ) and "R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour" (Hub Television Network/Discovery Channel, 2010-14). Feature film appearances, including a Young Artist Award-nominated turn as Taylor Pringle in "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules" (2011) and "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days" (2012), soon followed, though television was her primary showcase. Bela earned her breakout role in 2014 with "Odd Squad," a Canada-lensed fantasy-comedy series about kid secret agents - including two played by Bela's real-life siblings and fellow actors, Bruce Salomon and Raphael Alejandro - who use math to solve otherworldly problems. Bela was remarkably deadpan as the no-nonsense Agent Olive, and netted two Young Artist Award nominations as well as a Canadien Screen Award nomination for Best Performance in a Children's Program. Bela remained with "Odd Squad" for its first two years while also making appearances on "Once Upon a Time" (ABC, 2011- ) as a young Guinevere and voicing a supporting role on the PBS animated series "Ready Jet Go!" (PBS Kids, 2016- ) before Agent Olive was phased out of the series by moving on to operate her own Odd Squad office. In 2017, she was cast on the CBC/Netflix series "Anne" (2017- ). In this adaptation of the children's classic Anne of Green Gables, Bela played Diane Barry, best friend to resourceful orphan Anne Shirley (Amybeth McNulty).
