Darren Evans
Welsh actor Darren Evans began his screen career with a small part in the independent movie "Kiddo" (2005). He quickly made a positive impression and landed supporting roles on the British teen horror drama "Young Dracula" (CBBC, 2006-2008, 2011-2014) and in the indie horror film "Summer Scars" (2007), about a group of youths held hostage in the British woods. He appeared in the British coming of age comedy "Submarine" (2010), then the British musical film "Hunky Dory" (2011), starring Minnie Driver. In 2013, Evans appeared in his first series regular role in the British comedy "My Mad Fat Diary" (E4, 2013-15). The show was about an overweight girl who had recently returned from a stay in a mental hospital, trying to fit in and still cope with her body issues. Evans played one of her friends from the hospital. Evans had a banner year in 2015, with roles in two new series in addition to the final episodes of "My Mad Fat Diary." First was "The Bastard Executioner" (FX, 2015), a violent and bloody period piece created by Kurt Sutter, who also created "Sons of Anarchy" (FX, 2008-2014). The second, "Galavant" (ABC, 2015-16), was a musical fairy tale comedy created as a companion for "Once Upon A Time" (ABC, 2013- ).
