Samuel F A terrifying movie, it develops a good narrative and strong characters. The atmosphere radiates horror; it's dark and disturbing, keeping you terrified. The locations chosen for this movie are simply impressive. The director, the screenwriters, and the entire production and photography team have done an exceptional job. It's one of those movies you didn't know existed, you didn't ask for, but it's there, and it's amazing. It's a very underrated movie; it has some flaws, but you can't expect a movie to be perfect. For me, it's fine just the way it is. And as we all know, don't grow up, or you'll die. If we focus on its atmosphere, it radiates that terror, that unease, that tension. It conveys the fear that defines a horror movie, with the same atmosphere as *The Nun*, a film from *The Conjuring* universe. That's the most impressive aspect of the movie—it manages to capture that terrifying atmosphere. However, just like in *The Nun*, they succeed in creating a strong horror atmosphere and a truly dark and disturbing environment, but then the movie's development falls short, which is a shame. Because it has a lot of potential, and you know it could deliver more. Its destructive atmosphere, particularly dark and balanced with elements that instill fear and disturb you, is what makes this movie stand out. It has effective jump scares and instills fear deep within you, right down to your spine. One of the most disturbing and unsettling films of the year. But it’s an intense movie with a great story to tell. It's the only film of its kind that's truly worth watching, especially after *The Walking Dead*. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/03/24 Full Review Chloe M the first bit was honestly just annoying and then it kinda just dragged on. it's similar to mom and dad but I enjoyed it less. It's never really explained why all of them are there, just bastion and pearl. it's okay I guess, don't think I'd rewatch. felt like more of a romantic drama near the end and I greatly didn't appreciate that, the reason I'm watching so much horror right now is to get over an ex so I hate when they leave out that half the movie is romantic drama. there's also no connection whatsoever to the characters, didn't really care when anyone died nor did I root for anyone, just didn't really care. a very eh film Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Emilliano S More of dont watch to grow up. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member The concept of the movie was good but it became confusing near the end and also ends abruptly with no explanation of what happened or why it happened.
