Bill Goodykoontz Arizona Republic This is definitely a horror movie, increasingly by the minute. It’s also really funny — in places — and the finale combines horror and comedy in a way that doesn’t cheapen either one. Rated: 4.5/5 Sep 2, 2025 Full Review Justin Chang NPR Zach Cregger's ingenious and exultant new horror film is like a Stephen King riff on The Pied Piper of Hamelin, and it has a wonderful campfire-tale spookiness. Aug 22, 2025 Full Review Mark Kermode Kermode and Mayo's Take (YouTube) It's a smorgasbord. It is a full meal of stuff and it doesn't all work, but there is enough in there that is genuinely kind of 'Oh Gosh!'... Aug 18, 2025 Full Review Rob Dean Bullz-Eye.com [Cregger] masterfully uses the full gamut of human emotions and experiences to not only produce a great meditation on tragedy but also create a thoroughly satisfying and unique film that will remain with audiences for decades to come. Rated: 4.5/5 Sep 26, 2025 Full Review Travis Johnson Blunt Magazine It's an ingenious little clockwork marvel of a film. Sep 24, 2025 Full Review KT Mahe For Your Reference Podcast Played too straight to be satire and not succinct enough to be a critique, Creggers relies on his signature aesthetics for Weapons. Karen A Weapons is great as horror and as black comedy. The way the mystery unravels as we see the perspectives of the various characters was superb as well as tense. I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope more films like it continue to get made. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/30/25 Full Review John Good pace. Interesting story line. Well acted. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/28/25 Full Review Deric C Excellent horror flick! Full of surprises and scares! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/27/25 Full Review emjay decent thriller, weird plotline, very quiet movie tho, felt bad for eating my peanut m&m's, loud crunches vs bad audio :/ Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/26/25 Full Review Jeff It was just bad. I love horror movies and see plenty of bad ones and this one both of us agreed on. The great reviews got us in the theater but we just did not see what others liked so much about this film. I will stop using reviews so heavily after this one. I'll now go by the trailers way more I guess. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 09/25/25 Full Review Arnold Didn't go the way I expected. That was a pleasant surprise. Worth the trip. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/25/25 Full Review Read all reviews
