Domenico Modugno
Domenico Modugno brought his musical talents to a variety of films over the course of his Hollywood career. Modugno began his entertainment career with his music featured in films like the Ernesto Gomez Cruz drama "El Norte" (1984), the romance "Hareemu Ohgen" (1985) with Yftach Katzur and "Absolute Beginners" (1986). His music also appeared in the Chris Makepeace comedy "Vamp" (1986). Though known first for his music, Modugno also acted in "The Last Judgement" (1961) with Vittorio Gassman and the comedy "Lo Scopone Scientifico" (1972) with Alberto Sordi. In the eighties and the nineties, Modugno's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like the Chris Makepeace comedy "Aloha Summer" (1988), "29th Street" (1991) and "Father of the Bride" (1991) with Steve Martin. His work was also in the crime drama "A Bronx Tale" (1993) with Robert De Niro and the Chevy Chase comedy sequel "Vegas Vacation" (1997). Modugno's music was also featured in the dramatic comedy "Man on the Moon" (1999) with Jim Carrey, the Hilary Duff comedic adaptation "The Lizzie McGuire Movie" (2003) and the comedy "Mr. Woodcock" (2007) with Billy Bob Thornton. His music was also featured in the Johnny Depp dramatic adaptation "The Rum Diary" (2011) and "To Rome With Love" (2012) with Woody Allen. Modugno's music was most recently featured in the John Turturro comedy "Fading Gigolo" (2014).
