Canadian-born multi-hyphenate Dominic Quarré worked steadily in a variety of media, from stage plays and television to web comedies, before making his feature film debut with Turkish director Onur Karaman's "La ferme des humains." The comedy, about a trio of aimless young suburban men attempting to carve out an existence by selling pot, earned critical praise on the festival circuit for its cultural diversity and quirky humor. More importantly, it served as a wider showcase for Quarré's abundant skills, and a launching point for his career as a screen performer. Dominic Quarré began his training as an actor in 1995 before graduating with a degree in drama from the University of Quebec in Montreal in 2001. He soon after began appearing in and writing various stage productions before making his screen acting debut in the 2004 short film "Valentine's Day." Quarré continued in theater and short films until 2009, when he was featured in the web comedy series "Has-Bine," about a group of aspiring actors. Two years later, he began appearing in small roles on Canadian television, which preceded his feature film debut in "La ferme des humains." The Quebec-lensed independent comedy concerned a multi-ethnic group of friends - Moroccan slacker Karim (Karim Jallal), a French-Canadian marijuana dealer (Raphael Lacaille) and their Latino friend (Quarré) - who idle away their lives on a park bench.
