Don Costello
Don Costello was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Costello's earliest roles were in film, including the adventure "The New Adventures of Tarzan" (1935) with Bruce Bennett, the mystery "Another Thin Man" (1939) with William Powell and the fantasy "Here Comes Mr. Jordan" (1941) with Robert Montgomery. He also appeared in "Sleeping West" (1941), "Johnny Eager" (1941) and the Red Skelton comedic adaptation "Whistling in the Dark" (1941). He continued to act in productions like "Just Off Broadway" (1942) with Lloyd Nolan, the Robert Young thriller "Joe Smith, American" (1942) and "A-Haunting We Will Go" (1942) with Stan Laurel. He also appeared in "Crime Doctor" (1943). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the Gary Cooper comedy "Along Came Jones" (1945), "Nob Hill" (1945) with George Raft and the western "Marshal of Laredo" (1945) with Billy Elliott. He also appeared in "The Red Dragon" (1946) and the Alan Ladd thriller "The Blue Dahlia" (1946). Costello was most recently credited in the crime sequel "The Godfather, Part III" (1990) with Al Pacino. Costello passed away in October 1945 at the age of 44.
