Dorothy Dell
Blonde beauty pageant winner who performed in vaudeville and on radio and was a featured singer in the 1931 Ziegfeld Follies. Dell made several Vitaphone shorts before signing with Paramount where she appeared in leading roles in "Wharf Angel," "Little Miss Marker" and "Shoot the Works" (all 1934) in her brief six-month Hollywood career. She died that year in a car crash at age 21.
