Drew Moore was born in Nashville, Tennessee on December 20, 1965. Moore comes from a family of three generations of ministers in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He began taking acting classes when he was just 12 years old and was soon performing in professional theater, TV and commercials throughout the region. In the summer of 1988, right after college, Moore teamed up with some high school friends to stage the inaugural production of Nashville Shakespeare Festival, starring as Orlando in "As You Like It." Moore's early acting training includes Nashville Academy Theatre, The Acting Studio, Northwestern University, and the British-American Drama Academy in London. In his late 20s, Moore took a hiatus from acting and earned his Ph.D. in Comparative Literature at the City University of New York. He taught English and Classics at West Point and Brooklyn College. Since returning to acting in 2013, he has appeared in the films "The Shed" (2019) and "Catching Up" (2019) and the series "American Horror Stories," (FX on Hulu/Hulu, 2021- ), "Law & Order: Organized Crime," (NBC, 2021- ), "FBI: Most Wanted," (CBS, 2020- ) and "Power Book III: Raising Kanan" (Starz, 2021- ). Moore also landed roles in the Clarence Fuller film "Signs of Love" (2022) and the upcoming comedy flick "I Think I'm Sick."
