Eddie Ryder's acting career began at the age of 29, when he played a high school boy on a 1953 episode of the fantasy series, "Adventures of Superman." Although Ryder got his start in acting rather late in life, he would go on to star in over 90 movies and television shows throughout his decades-long career. The '60s were by far Ryder's most successful decade. In addition to making several credited guest appearances on such iconic shows as "The Andy Griffith Show," "Bewitched," and "The Munsters," Ryder also played an air traffic control employee in the Academy Award-winning 1963 comedy "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World." He played a Mexican marriage broker in the 1966 drama "The Oscar" and a sergeant in the Tony Curtis comedy "Not with My Wife, You Don't! " Ryder continued to act in the 1970s, albeit in a lesser capacity. He was mostly relegated to secondary roles on TV shows like "Get Smart " and "Mission: Impossible," before making his final onscreen appearance in the 1986 made-for-TV movie "A Masterpiece of Murder."
