Eitaro Shindo
Eitaro Shindo was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Shindo's career beginnings included film roles in "Drunken Angel" (1948), the Ichiro Sugai dramatic period piece "The Life of Oharu" (1952) and "A Woman of Rumor" (1954) with Kinuyo Tanaka. Shindo then began to rack up a number of film credits, including roles in the foreign "Between Yesterday and Tomorrow" (1954) with Tsuruta Koji, the period drama "The Crucified Lovers" (1954) with Kazuo Hasegawa and "Tales of the Taira Clan" (1955). He also appeared in the Kinuyo Tanaka dramatic period piece "Sansho the Bailiff" (1969). Shindo was most recently credited in the drama "A Geisha" (1978) with Michiko Kogure. Shindo passed away in February 1977 at the age of 78.
