Ernest Jay was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Ernest Jay found his beginnings in film with roles in "Edward, My Son" (1948) and the drama "The History of Mr. Polly" (1949) with John Mills. Ernest Jay next focused his career on film, appearing in "The Reluctant Widow" (1950), the Burgess Meredith drama "The Gay Adventure" (1953) and the Dirk Bogarde adaptation sequel "Doctor at Large" (1957). Later in his career, Ernest Jay acted in the adaptation "The Curse of Frankenstein" (1957) with Peter Cushing. Ernest Jay passed away in February 1957 at the age of 64.
