Frank Craven
Frank Craven was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Craven began his acting career with roles in such films as the Janet Gaynor drama "State Fair" (1933), "City Limits" (1934) and the James Cagney dramatic comedy "He Was Her Man" (1934). He also appeared in the romantic comedy "Vagabond Lady" (1935) with Robert Young. He continued to work steadily in film throughout the thirties, appearing in the romance "Small Town Girl" (1936) with Janet Gaynor, "Penrod and Sam" (1937) and "You're Only Young Once" (1938). He also appeared in the Billy Mauch adventure "Penrod and His Twin Brother" (1938). In the latter half of his career, he tackled roles in the Bette Davis drama "In This Our Life" (1942), "Pittsburgh" (1942) with Marlene Dietrich and the drama "Keeper of the Flame" (1942) with Spencer Tracy. He also appeared in the comedy "Dangerous Blondes" (1943) with Allyn Joslyn and "Son of Dracula" (1943) with Robert Paige. Craven was most recently credited in the horror flick "Anguish" (1988) with Zelda Rubinstein. Craven passed away in September 1945 at the age of 70.
