Frank Scannell was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Scannell's career in acting began with his roles in various films like "Hit Parade of 1947" (1947), "Act of Violence" (1948) and "Alias the Champ" (1949). He also appeared in "Ladies of the Chorus" (1949). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the fifties, appearing in the Virginia Mayo musical "She's Working Her Way Through College" (1952), "The Country Girl" (1954) and the comedy "The First Traveling Saleslady" (1956) with Ginger Rogers. Nearing the end of his career, he tackled roles in the suspenseful adaptation "The Incredible Shrinking Man" (1957) with Grant Williams, the Anita Ekberg thrilling adaptation "Screaming Mimi" (1958) and the Bing Crosby musical comedy "High Time" (1960). Scannell more recently acted in the comedy "The Disorderly Orderly" (1964) with Jerry Lewis. Scannell passed away in November 1989 at the age of 86.
