Actress and producer Hayley Marie Norman parlayed her popularity as a game show presenter on "Deal or No Deal" (NBC, 2005-2010) into steady work in comedic projects, including the Chris Rock starrer "Top Five" (2014) and her own critically acclaimed web series, "Hello Cupid" (2014- ). Born March 3, 1984 in Agoura Hills, California, she hailed from a family steeped in the film business: her great-uncles included production manager Gene Anderson, the prolific "B" director William Beaudine, actor-turned-production manager Robert J. Anderson and his brother, director Gene Anderson, Jr.  Norman knew that she wanted to follow in their footsteps from an early age, declaring to her mother at the age of seven that she wanted to act in television. She found representation and earned her Screen Actors Guild card soon after, but supported herself largely through modeling work throughout her teenaged years. The latter provided her with the funds to complete her studies at the California Institute of the Arts and American Academy of Dramatic Art, intent on returning to acting as her primary focus. Norman signed with a new agency, and was soon appearing in guest and supporting roles in TV features and episodic series. Her big break came in 2006 when she was tapped to serve as Case Model #25 on the primetime game show "Deal or No Deal." Frequently showcased as the model with the briefcase that contained a million dollars, Norman soon developed a following that translated into bit parts, which largely hinging on her appearance, in features like the Eddie Murphy feature "Norbit" (2007) and "Hancock" (2008), starring Will Smith. Training with the improv troupe Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) honed her comic skills, which she put to good use as an enthusiastic cheerleader in the comedy "Fired Up" (2009) and the romantic comedy "Our Family Wedding" (2010) with Forest Whitaker and America Ferrara. While working steadily in guest appearances on comedy series like "New Girl" (Fox, 2011-2017) and "The Exes" (TV Land, 2011-2015) and in features like the Chris Rock feature "Top Five," Norman also began developing her own projects, and wrote and produced short films for UCB and the College Humor site, as well as her own online comedy series "Hello Cupid." Norman, who also starred in the series as a single woman seeking romance through online dating, drew praise from media outlines and became an official selection at the TriBeCa Film Festival. While overseeing "Hello Cupid," Norman also continued to appear in other film and television projects, including a recurring role on "Adam Ruins Everything" (truTV, 2015- ), the Freeform sitcom "Alone Together" (2018- ) for Andy Samberg's Lonely Island comedy team and "By the Book" (2017- ) for CBS.
