Cork B Not good. Meandering and schmaltzy. There are too many distracting subplots. Another one of those 'mousy woman comes in to her own', although I did like how they didn't just take a supermodel and give her glasses so we think she is nerdy. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/18/23 Full Review Katt B Not very good to begin with, but the side story with the brother really ruined it for me. Spoilers but only for the subplot: the dirtbag brother cheats on his wife, lies to her, never gets caught, and continues to try to have a baby with her at the end. And the main character lies for him to help him keep this secret ... Repeatedly. Because, it's "not her secret to tell"? Honestly, wtf, who wrote this? Tell his wife, she's being gaslit by this gross man child and her inlaws are all helping him do it for some sick reason. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Dorfman was cute . Predictable but cuteness always gets me 2.9 Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/19/21 Full Review Audience Member Number one guilty pleasure. Spouse & I have watched perhaps half dozen times over the years and we use catch phrases often. Rue and Gould both hilarious. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I really liked this movie! It was light and carefree and in the end she picked the right one Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member The critics apparently hated this one but we thought it was delightful. Sara Rue was charming as a shy accountant who blossoms after she house-sits and meets an artistic neighbor. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter Sara Rue delivers a charming and funny turn in this otherwise hopelessly formulaic rom-com. Mar 22, 2013 Full Review Amy Nicholson Los Angeles Times Inoffensive to everyone besides the homeless living on L.A.'s skid row, whom Dorfman shies away from like they're soul-sucking dybbuks Rated: 2.5/5 Mar 22, 2013 Full Review Farran Smith Nehme New York Post The plotting is like uninspired Mad Libs and the premise so slight it's practically transparent. Nor is there much going on visually, beyond Jay's to-die-for loft. Rated: 2/4 Mar 22, 2013 Full Review Stephen Saito Moveable Fest A film best described as cast-contingent, a generally agreeable comedy that goes as far as its talented ensemble takes it. Dec 4, 2018 Full Review Glenn Dunks Trespass It would all be rather unbearable without the effervescent personality of Rue, who is as gifted with selling wacky slapstick as she is the romantic drama. Sep 8, 2013 Full Review Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat Spirituality & Practice A romantic comedy about the changes that transform a young woman with low self-esteem.
