Helen Traubel was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. In 1923, she made her concert singing debut with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. In 1937, she made her operatic debut in Damrosch's "The Man Without A Country" at New York's Metropolitan Opera. Traubel began her career with a role in the biopic "Deep in My Heart" (1954) with Jose Ferrer. Traubel then began to rack up a number of film credits, including roles in "The Ladies' Man" (1961). Later in her career, Traubel acted in the Craig Stevens mystery "Gunn" (1967). Traubel passed away in July 1972 at the age of 73.
