Irene Castle
Irene Castle was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Castle's career beginnings included film roles in "The Mark of Cain" (1917) and "The First Law" (1918). Castle then began to rack up a number of film credits, including roles in "The Firing Line" (1919), "French Heels" (1922) and "Broadway After Dark" (1924). Later in her career, Castle wrote the biopic "The Story of Vernon and Irene Castle" (1939) with Fred Astaire. Castle passed away in January 1969 at the age of 76.
