James Seay

James Seay was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Seay's earliest roles were in film, including the Ralph Bellamy crime picture "Queen of the Mob" (1940), "Golden Gloves" (1940) and "Emergency Squad" (1940). He also appeared in the Louis Hayward drama "The Son of Monte Cristo" (1940), the action flick "North West Mounted Police" (1940) with Gary Cooper and the suspenseful adaptation "The Face Behind the Mask" (1941) with Peter Lorre. His film career continued throughout the forties and the fifties in productions like the thriller "Secret Beyond the Door" (1948) with Michael Redgrave, "Military Academy With That Avenue Gang" (1950) and "The Asphalt Jungle" (1950). He also appeared in "The Day the Earth Stood Still" (1951) with Michael Rennie. In the latter part of his career, he continued to act in "Friendly Persuasion" (1956) with Gary Cooper, the Peggie Castle drama "Beginning of the End" (1957) and the Glenn Langan sci-fi motion picture "The Amazing Colossal Man" (1957). He also appeared in "Pal Joey" (1957) and the adventure "The Buccaneer" (1958) with Yul Brynner. Seay more recently wrote the Robin Hurt adventure "In the Blood" (1990). Seay passed away in October 1992 at the age of 78.
