Jessica Pohly
Actress Jessica Pohly first came to attention on the stage before landing her breakthrough on-screen role as bank robber Pepper in "Pee-wee's Big Holiday" (Netflix, 2016). Born and raised in New York, Pohly began her career touring with the American Shakespeare Center, and as a member of the Atlantic Theater Company also originated roles in several plays written by Pulitzer Prize winner Adam Rapp. After writing, producing and starring in "Alternate Sides" (2012), a short film about the trials and tribulations of parking in New York City, Pohly ventured into television with cameos in multiple sitcoms including "Welcome to the Family" (NBC, 2013), "Super Fun Night" (ABC, 2013-14) and "Modern Family" (ABC, 2009-). Pohly then appeared in three consecutive short films, "Theme Song Rebel" (2014), a dystopian musical comedy, "Somebody" (2014), a satire on social network apps, and "Meet the Zillas" (2014), a camp farce about a wedding-obsessed town. Following a minor role as Wanda in police procedural "Stalker" (CBS, 2014-15), Pohly was cast as Pepper, the ringleader of a bank-robbing gang, in the revival of Paul Reubens' famous alter-ego, "Pee-wee's Big Holiday" (Netflix, 2016).
