Jimmy Hawkins
Jimmy Hawkins, an accomplished actor, began his entertainment career when he was just five years old. Hawkins began his acting career in film, appearing in such titles as "It's a Wonderful Life" (1946) with James Stewart, the Barbara Bel Geddes dramatic adaptation "Caught" (1949) and "Love That Brute" (1950) with Paul Douglas. He also appeared in the crime picture "Private Hell 36" (1954) with Ida Lupino, the Van Heflin period drama "Count Three and Pray" (1955) and the comedy adaptation "Zotz" (1962) with Tom Poston. Hawkins worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "Leave It to Beaver" (1957-1963). In the sixties and the eighties, Hawkins devoted his time to various credits, such as "Girl Happy" (1965) starring Elvis Presley, "Spinout" (1966) and "Kolchak: The Night Stalker" (ABC, 1974-75). He also worked on "One in a Million: The Ron LeFlore Story" (CBS, 1978-79), "A Time For Miracles" (ABC, 1980) and "Don't Look Back" (ABC, 1980-81). In the eighties through the nineties, Hawkins lent his talents to projects like "Scout's Honor" (NBC, 1980-81), "Love Leads the Way" (Disney, 1984-85) and "Streets of Yesterday" (1990) starring Paul McGann. His credits also expanded to "The Orchid House" (1991), "Donna Reed: I'll Take the Moon" and "Merry Christmas, George Bailey" (PBS, 1997-98). Most recently, Hawkins produced "Smart Cookies" (Hallmark Channel, 2011-12).
