Jimmy Rogers was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Rogers kickstarted his acting career in various films such as "Dudes Are Pretty People" (1942), "False Colors" (1943) and "Riders of the Deadline" (1943). He also appeared in "Forty Thieves" (1944). His film career continued throughout the forties in productions like "Lumberjack" (1944), "Mystery Man" (1944) and "Texas Masquerade" (1944). Rogers's music was also featured in the comedic drama "Play It to the Bone" (1999) with Antonio Banderas and "Me, Myself and Irene" (2000) featuring Jim Carrey. Rogers was most recently credited in "The Blues" (2003-04). In addition to his music, Rogers also appeared on-screen in the Hubert Sumlin documentary "Hubert Sumlin: Living the Blues" (1988). Rogers passed away in April 2000 at the age of 85.
