Joy Nash

Joy Nash was an American actress born in Dallas, Texas. Nash grew up in Redlands, California, and graduated from the University of Southern California with a double major in sociolinguistics and theater, respectively. While performing in various theater productions, she uploaded a video called "A Fat Rant" on YouTube in 2007, a body positivity-centric video that went viral with over one million views. That same year, she also made her film debut in the independent horror film "Murderess" (2007). Nash made her television debut in 201 on an episode of the dramatization/documentary series "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant" (TLC, 2009-2011), and played Simone in a pair of episodes on "The Mindy Project" (Fox/Hulu, 2012-17) in 2013. She made an appearance on family drama "The Fosters" (Freeform, 2013- ) in 2015. Nash landed her breakout role when she appeared as Senorita Dido in a notorious episode of "Twin Peaks: The Return" (Showtime, 2017), a critically acclaimed event series that resulted in numerous fan theories and discussion. Nash was also a prolific audiobook narrator, with over 85 titles under her belt.
