Educator-turned-television executive, Justin Falvey graduated from Georgetown University in 1990, briefly spending time as an English teacher in Japan and Spain. Falvey worked his way up in the industry, starting out as an assistant in the Television Literary Department at International Creative Management (ICM) before landing a job in development/current programming at NBC. In 1995, he accepted the same position at DreamWorks Television, working with Judd Apatow on supervising the development of "Freaks and Geeks" and "Undeclared," then serving in the same capacity with creative partners Peter Tolan and Denis Leary when the duo were co-creating the 2001 ABC dramedy "The Job." Falvey's boss Steven Spielberg tapped him to be the co-executive producer for the 2005 TNT western miniseries "Into the West," which not only earned 2006 Emmy and PGA nods, but won Falvey a 2006 Western Heritage Award for Outstanding Television Feature Film. Somehow Falvey balanced working on this demanding project with serving as the executive producer for the NBC dramedy "Vegas" from 2003 through 2008 and quickly followed this up as the executive producer for the hit Showtime series "The United States of Tara." He has also delved into reality show programming as a co-executive producer for two episodes of 2007's "On the Lot" and Mark Burnett's "The Contender" from 2006 through 2009.
