Lalanya Masters
For more than a decade, Lalanya Masters left television audiences reeling with Masters's comedic genius. Early on in Masters's acting career, Masters spent time on a variety of series with roles in "Law & Order" (1990-2010), "Martin" (Fox, 1991-97) and "In the House" (UPN, 1994-97). Masters also appeared in "The Steve Harvey Show" (1995-2002), "413 Hope Street" (Fox, 1997-98) and "Good News" (UPN, 1997-98). Masters continued to work steadily in sitcoms throughout the nineties and the early 2000s, appearing on "The Parkers" (UPN, 1998-2004) and "Girlfriends" (2000-08). Masters's work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Rhapsody" (BET, 1999-2000). Masters also had roles in film during these years, including roles in "The Players Club" (1998) with Ice Cube and "Catfish in Black Bean Sauce" (2000) with Paul Winfield. Masters also played parts in television during these years, including roles in "The Parkers" (UPN, 1998-2004) and "Girlfriends" (2000-08). In Masters's more recent career, Masters tackled roles on "The Bernie Mac Show" (2001-06), "Platinum" (UPN, 2002-03) and "Barbershop" (2005-06). Masters also appeared in "G" (2005). Additionally, Masters appeared on the television special "Black Filmmaker Showcase" (2003-07). Masters most recently acted in the Nicolas Cage period drama "World Trade Center" (2006).
