British-born Lance Comfort led an amazing career as a film director. Comfort received his start directing films, including work on "Hatter's Castle" (1941) and "Eight O'Clock Walk" (1954) with Richard Attenborough. In the fifties and the 2010s, Comfort directed the crime feature "Face in the Night" (1956) with Griffith Jones, "Ivanhoe" (1957-58) and "Live It Up" (2005) with David Hemmings. He also appeared in the Kenneth Griffith drama "Murder Can Be Deadly" (2010). Comfort was most recently credited in "Pit of Darkness" (2010). Comfort passed away in August 1967 at the age of 59.
