LeBron James, a 6-foot, 8-inch, 250-pound physical specimen, won his first National Basketball Association championship with the Miami Heat following the 2011-2012 season. James, considered the best player in basketball, came to the NBA straight out of high school, one of the last athletes able to make this move before the NBA implemented a minimum age rule. Not shy in front of the camera, James hosted "Saturday Night Live" (NBC 1975- ), was the subject of the 2009 documentary "More Than a Game," and came close to stealing the show with his first major acting role, in the romantic comedy "Trainwreck" (2015). But mostly, James was one of the all-time great basketball phenomenons. He also played for the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2003 to 2010, and his aforementioned stint with the Miami Heat ran from 2010 to 2014, after which he rejoined the Cavaliers, playing with them again from 2014 to 2018. He has also won two Olympic gold medals, and his basketball career has included many honors, including four NBA awards for Most Valuable Player and three MVP awards in the NBA finals. He is also the all-time scoring leader in the NBA playoffs. On July 1, 2018, it was announced that James would be joining the Los Angeles Lakers after signing a four-year contract that was valued at $153.3 million.
