Leslie Fenton
Leslie Fenton was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Fenton's earliest roles were in film, including "What Price Glory" (1926), "The Dragnet" (1928) and "The Showdown" (1928). He also appeared in "Woman Trap" (1929), the drama "Dynamite" (1929) with Conrad Nagel and "The Office Scandal" (1929). He kept working in film throughout the thirties, starring in "Air Mail" (1932) with Pat O'Brien, "The Hatchet Man" (1932) with Edward G Robinson and "Thunder Below" (1932). He also appeared in the John Barrymore drama "Night Flight" (1933). Toward the end of his career, Fenton directed the Virginia Bruce drama "Stronger Than Desire" (1939), the Melvyn Douglas drama "Tell No Tales" (1939) and the Lew Ayres comedy "The Golden Fleecing" (1940). In addition to his directing, Fenton also appeared on-screen in the mystery adaptation "The House of Secrets" (1936) with Sidney Blackmer and "Boys Town" (1938) with Spencer Tracy. Fenton more recently directed the spy picture "The Redhead and the Cowboy" (1951) with Glenn Ford. Fenton was married to Ann Dvorak. Fenton passed away in March 1978 at the age of 76.
