Louis Jordan brought his musical talents to a variety of films over the course of his Hollywood career. Jordan began his entertainment career with his music featured in films like "Raging Bull" (1980) with Robert De Niro, the John Belushi action flick "The Blues Brothers" (1980) and the Kris Kristofferson crime flick "Trouble in Mind" (1985). His music also appeared in the Meryl Streep dramatic adaptation "Heartburn" (1986). An an actor as well as a musician, Jordan took on a part in "Beware" (1946) and "Grace Kelly -- The American Princess" (Cinemax, 1986-87). Jordan was also credited in "Malcolm X" with Denzel Washington (1992), "My Fellow Americans" (1996) starring Jack Lemmon and "Swingers" (1996). He also was recognized in "Keys to Tulsa" (1997) and "Babe 2: Pig in the City" with James Cromwell (1998). Jordan's music was most recently featured in the black comedy "World's Greatest Dad" (2009) with Robin Williams. Jordan passed away in February 1975 at the age of 67.
