Marco Palvetti
Known to audiences worldwide for his role as Salvatore Conte on the Italian crime series "Gomorrah" (Sky Atlantic, 2014-), Marco Palvetti considered acting his true calling for as long as he could remember. Born in Naples in 1988, Palvetti studied at Cinemafiction for two years during his youth. By the time he was 18, he was ready to move to Rome and enroll at Silvio D'Amico National Academy of Dramatic Arts. Upon graduating, Palvetti was prepared to pursue a professional acting career, founding the Bluteatro theater company in Rome. The young actor's film career began with a number of small roles in projects like the period drama "The Big Dream" (2009) and in the short films "La Salita" (2012), "Ritorno a Casa" (2013), and "Gran Finale" (2014). He would also continue to act on stage, memorably co-starring in "Nuda Proprieta" at Milan's Teatro Carcano in 2014. That same year, Palvetti landed the role of Salvatore on "Gomorrah," a part that required him to relearn his original Neapolitan accent, as he had long since learned to speak with a more "polished" Roman accent. As the show garnered worldwide attention, Palvetti continued to his next project, appearing in the TV movie "In Punta di Piedi."
