Maria Mayenzet
A seasoned actress who has performed next to A-list stars and earned a Master's degree in acting, Maria Mayenzet was a common face on the silver screen in the 1980s and 1990s. She got her first taste in professional acting by appearing on bit parts on television series. In 1985, she took the starring role in her first feature film as a murdered heiress opposite Jeff Bridges in "Jagged Edge." The romantic thriller also starred Glenn Close and was nominated for various film awards. Mayenzet continued expanding her repertoire by appearing on television sitcoms and dramas, and found a recurring role as a nun in the three-season long Vietnam War series, "Tour of Duty." She also found two separate roles in the classic mystery series "Murder, She Wrote." Mayenzet focused her creative energies into theatre and acted in various Shakespearean plays and performed abroad in London and locally in Los Angeles. The established actress is also a college level professor and teaches theatre and guest lectures at university classes throughout California. Though Mayenzet has been away from the public eye, she was cast as the lead in the daytime television special "Forever," playing a framed ex-con seeking revenge for her time in jail.
