Mickey Guyton

Born in Arlington, Texas, on June 17, 1983, Candace Mycale "Mickey" Guyton, better known as Mickey Guyton, is an American country music artist. At an early age, Guyton developed an interest in music. She often performed in church choirs. After graduating high school, Guyton moved to Los Angeles, Calif. to pursue a country music career while attending Santa Monica College. She studied business and worked several jobs to support herself. In 2005, she appeared in Nick Cannon's film, "Underclassman." Guyton met record producer Julian Raymond. Impressed by her singing voice, he introduced her to Gary Borman and Steve Moir. Guyton moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2011 and became part of the city's country music songwriting community. After auditioning for Mike Dungan, Guyton was signed to UMG's Capitol Records Nashville division. Following her label signing, she performed at the White House. In 2014, Capitol Nashville released Guyton's first extended play (EP), an acoustic album titled, "Unbreakable." In 2015, Capitol released Guyton's debut single, "Better Than You Left Me." In early 2020, Guyton released "What Are You Gonna Tell Her?." It was followed by the single "Black Like Me." In 2020, Guyton performed at the Academy of Country Music awards. In 2021, Guyton co-hosted the "Academy of Country Music Awards." In February 2022, Guyton performed the National Anthem at Super Bowl LVI. In 2023, Mickey Guyton was a coach and judge on "My Kind of Country."
