Nandita Das

Nandita Das found success as an actress early on, when she was just 12 years old. In her early acting career, Nandita Das appeared in such films as the foreign "Lawaaris" (1981) with Zeenat Aman, "Fire" (1997) and "Biswaprakash" (1999). She also appeared in "Deveeri" (1999) and "Earth" (1999). She continued to work steadily in film throughout the nineties and the early 2000s, appearing in "The Day of Birth" (1999), the foreign "Aks" (2001) with Amitabh Bachchan and "Sandstorm" (2003). She also appeared in "A Peck On The Cheek" (2007) and "Four Women" (2007). Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in "Provoked: A True Story" (2007), "Before the Rains" (2008) and "Ramchand Pakistani" (2010). Most recently, Nandita Das acted in the Aina Clotet drama "Rastres de sàndal" (2014).
