Natalie Paul
Natalie Paul was an American actress who was best known for her dramatic turns in film and television throughout the early 21st century. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Paul earned a B.A. in Acting from Yale, before going back to school to get her master's at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. After making her TV debut in 2013 with an appearance on an episode of the Broadway themed guilty pleasure "Smash" (NBC, 2012-13), Paul earned her breakout role when she was cast as Doreen Henderson in "Show Me a Hero" (HBO, 2015), a miniseries based on a true story about low income housing from David Simon, creator of "The Wire" (HBO, 2002-08). Her next role came in the film "Crown Heights" (2017), which was also based on a true story, this time about Colin Warner (Lakeith Stanfield), a black man wrongfully convicted of murder, and the 20-year effort to attain his release. Paul earned critical acclaim for her performance in "Crown Heights" and soon after reunited with David Simon for "The Deuce" (HBO, 2017-), a series about the world of pornography in 1970s Times Square. Paul next was seen on the second season of the crime anthology series "The Sinner" (USA Network, 2017-).
