Nicholas L. Ashe
Nicholas Ashe was an American actor who appeared mostly on stage and TV, before getting his big break, with a little help from Oprah. Born on May 1, 1995, Ashe began acting when he was a teenager, earning his first role in an episode of the final season of "Are We There Yet?" (TBS, 2010-12). He next appeared in the Tony Goldwyn-directed drama "Philly Lawyer" (2012), and the pilot for the music industry comedy "Songbyrd" (E!, 2014-), which unfortunately was not picked up for series. Ashe's first film role came when he was cast alongside Viola Davis and Hayden Panettiere in the legal drama "Custody" (2016). This got him on the radar of Oprah Winfrey and Ava DuVernay, who cast Ashe as Micah West on their rural family drama series "Queen Sugar" (OWN, 2016-). Ashe went behind the camera when he wrote the short film "Last Looks" (2017).
