Noémie Godin-Vigneau

A gifted actress, Noémie Godin-Vigneau became one of Québec's most fascinating and independent-minded stars. Born Oct. 25, 1975 in Hull, Québec, Canada, Noémie Godin-Vigneau made her screen debut on the modeling agency-set drama "Diva" (TVA, 1997-2000) and went on to book guest spots on "Bouledogue Bazar" (Radio-Canada, 1995-2002) and "The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne" (CBC/syndicated, 2000) as well as a role in the miniseries "Bunker, le cirque" (Radio-Canada, 2002). Godin-Vigneau followed up with a trio of film roles, supporting Catherine Deneuve and William Hurt in "Au plus près du paradis" ("Nearest to Heaven") (2002), essaying a hooker who becomes an aging writer's muse in the romance "Je n'aime que toi" (2004), and starring in the big-budget historical romance "Nouvelle-France" (a.k.a. "Battle of the Brave") (2004). Despite her success, Godin-Vigneau made the difficult decision to step back from the spotlight and moved to Argentina for three years. Upon her return to Canada, the actress played a wife whose husband cheats with a troubled cop (Alexis Bledel) in "The Kate Logan Affair" (2010). After a supporting turn in "Camion" (2012), Godin-Vigneau took a series regular role on "Vertige" (Series+, 2012), the story of a comatose woman (Fanny Mallette) whose condition causes family and friends (including Godin-Vigneau) to reveal secrets and make life-changing decisions. The actress went on to score another starring film role in "La météore" ("The Meteor") (2013), as the ex-wife of a man whose prison sentence has altered the lives of everyone who knows him.
