Oliver Johnston
Oliver Johnston was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Johnston kickstarted his acting career in various films such as the comedy "A King in New York" (1957) with Charlie Chaplin, the comedic adaptation "Indiscreet" (1958) with Cary Grant and the adventure "Son of Robin Hood" (1959) with June Laverick. He also appeared in the James Mason comedy adaptation "A Touch of Larceny" (1960). His film career continued throughout the sixties in productions like the Peter Finch adaptation "Kidnapped" (1960), the Bradford Dillman dramatic adaptation "Francis of Assisi" (1961) and "The Fast Lady" (1962) with Leslie Phillips. He also appeared in the adventurous drama "The Three Lives of Thomasina" (1963) with Patrick McGoohan. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the adaptation "The Tomb of Ligeia" (1965) with Vincent Price, the comedy "A Countess From Hong Kong" (1967) with Marlon Brando and "It!" (1967). Johnston was most recently credited in the Gabriel Damon animated adventure "Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland" (1992). Johnston passed away in December 1966 at the age of 78.
