Patti Austin
Actress-musician Patti Austin made a splash in Hollywood both on and off-screen for four decades. Austin began her entertainment career with her music featured in films like the documentary "Pumping Iron" (1977) with Arnold Schwarzenegger, "Best Friends" (1982) and the comedy "Two of A Kind" (1983) with John Travolta. Her music also appeared in "Hot Dog... The Movie" (1984) with David Naughton and "Cross My Heart" (1987). An actress as well as a musician, Austin played a part in the drama "One-Trick Pony" (1980) with Paul Simon. In the eighties and the nineties, Austin devoted her time to various credits, such as "The Music Makers: An ASCAP Celebration of American Music at Wolf Trap" (PBS, 1987-88), "Tucker: the Man and His Dream" with Jeff Bridges (1988) and "Shirley Valentine" (1989) starring Pauline Collins. She also worked on "Freddie as F.R.O.7" (1992). Austin most recently acted on "Magic City" (Starz, 2011-13).
