Scottish actor Paul Blair trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, graduating in 1993. He scored his first film role one year later in the award-winning television drama "Takin' Over the Asylum." Blair then proceeded to demonstrate his range with supporting roles in two very different television movies: the 1995 romantic comedy "Ruffian Hearts" and the 1997 thriller "Bumping the Odds." His feature-film debut came in 1999 with the comedy-drama "This Year's Love," which revolves around the misadventures of a group of aimless thirtysomethings in the hip London neighborhood of Camden Town. After appearing in a series of short films and more television work, Blair landed a supporting role in the 2007 mystery-romance "Mister Foe." 2008 found Blair joining the cast of the action-horror film "Outpost," which concerns a team of hardened mercenaries who stumble upon a dark secret hidden deep within an abandoned bunker. Blair continued his work in the horror genre in 2009, appearing in the chilling "Book of Blood," adapted from two Clive Barker stories, and the thrilling miniseries "The Day of the Triffids." Blair co-founded the Scottish production company Brocken Spectre in 2001. The company focuses primarily on short films, one of which Blair starred in: 2002's "The Turning Tide."
