Paul Frankeur
Paul Frankeur was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Frankeur kickstarted his acting career in various films such as "Jour De Fete" (1952), the crime drama "Grisbi" (1954) with Jean Gabin and the drama "Le Dossier Noir" (1955) with Bernard Blier. He also appeared in the crime picture "Le Rouge est mis" (1957) with Jean Gabin and the Martine Carol dramatic adaptation "Nana" (1957). He kept working in film throughout the fifties and the sixties, starring in the drama "Marie-Octobre" (1959) with Bernard Blier, "Come Dance With Me!" (1960) with Brigitte Bardot and the dramatic adaptation "The Love Makers" (1962) with Jean-Paul Belmondo. He also appeared in "The Magnificent Tramp" (1962) and "Second Breath" (1966). In the latter part of his career, he tackled roles in "The Milky Way" (1970), the Philippe Noiret dramatic adaptation "Poil de Carotte" (1973) and "Le Cri Du Coeur" (1974). He also appeared in the Jean-Claude Brialy experimental "Le Fantome de la Liberte" (1974). Frankeur was most recently credited in "The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie" (2000) with Fernando Rey. Frankeur passed away in October 1974 at the age of 69.
