Phil Vassar was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. He had a part on the television special "Live at the Wildhorse" (The Nashville Network, 2001-02). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Peace, Prayer and Unity" (CMT, 2001-02) and "CMA Music Festival: Country Music's Biggest Party" (ABC, 2004-05). During these years, he additionally appeared in film, receiving a role in the family "For the Love of a Dog" (2006) with Sherman Hemsley. He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Nashville Star" (2002-08). Vassar most recently acted in "Small Town Saturday Night" (2010) with John Hawkes.
