Rachelle R. Williams
Whether working on talk shows, sitcoms, or reality TV, Rachelle R. Williams proved to be a versatile and in-demand writer/producer. Born September 2, 1984 in Atlanta, GA, Williams attended Stephenson High School in Stone Mountain, GA, before earning a degree in Film and Television at Boston University. Following graduation in 2007, Williams moved to Los Angeles, where she quickly landed her first television gig as a production assistant on "The Florence Henderson Show" (RLTV, 2007-2016). She broke into the world of reality TV as a producer on the specials "Oxygen's 25iest: Bad Girls Gone Good" (Oxygen, 2008) and "Oxygen's 25iest: Hollywood's Most Outrageous Holiday Gifts" (Oxygen, 2009), before serving as a producer on such series as "Fantasia For Real" (VH1, 2010), "A Sale of Two Cities" (HGTV, 2014), and "Selling It In The ATL" (WEtv, 2015). However, it was in the world of TV writing that Williams found the most success, with the sitcoms "Love That Girl!" (TV One, 2010-2014), "My Crazy Roommate" (Bounce TV, 2013), "Family Time" (Bounce TV, 2012), and most notably Mike O'Malley's basketball drama series "Survivor's Remorse" (Starz, 2014), executive produced by someone who knows a bit about the sport: LeBron James. Williams prided herself on building a career from telling stories for black audiences, by black creators.
