Richard Correll comes from a family of show business professionals, and has worn a number of hats including that of actor, director, and archivist. As a child performer, Correll appeared in such programs as "The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet" and "National Velvet." His breakout role was that of Richard Rickover, the Beaver's best friend during the final two seasons of "Leave It to Beaver." In 1980, Correll served as associate producer on the television series "Laverne & Shirley," which led to similar duties on such shows as "Police Squad!" as well as a lengthy stint on "Happy Days." He also served as consulting producer on the family-friendly comedies "Valerie's Family" and "Step by Step." As a director, Correll has worked on an extensive number of comedies on television, starting with "Valerie's Family" in the late '80s, followed by episodes of "Step by Step" and "Family Matters." In the '00s, his directorial credits included shows starring popular teenage stars, including "That's So Raven," "Hannah Montana" (which Correll co-created), "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody," and "The Suite Life on Deck." Correll has also served as chief archivist for the Lloyd Trust, having befriended the silent screen legend and comedian Harold Lloyd when he was a teenager, and later assisting him in the preservation and archiving of Lloyd's films for posterity. He shared this knowledge in the 1989 documentary "The Third Genius."
